Inspire 3 very hot and not turning on

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit inspire 3 stopped responding, when I put it on charge it got very hot and the screen went yellow and shut down. I let it cool, tried again and nothing. I have had it for 15 months and it's worked fine and now it seems to be dead. Any advice ?

Assuming that the Inspire 3 is still self-discharging the battery, the only thing that you can do at this point in time is to let the Inspire 3 battery fully discharge (maybe a week) and then put it on the charger again to see if it charges again without getting hot.

Doing that will hard-reset the device and that might get it working again, if you are lucky, but the fact that it was getting hot is not a very good sign and that device may need to be replaced.

Okay, thanks, I will try this.

Really hope I don't need to replace it as it's only 15 months old !

Hi, @Darienne1, It doesn't sound good, depending on where you are, when you bought your Inspire 3 and from whom you may still be able to File a warranty claim for your Fitbit device - Fitbit Help Center To make prompt progress contact "Customer Support" work through steps one & two then use the contact us link to access chat or phone. DO NOT ATTEMPT FURTHER CHARGING.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

@Gr4ndp4 , doesn't the Inspire 3 only have a 1-year Factory warranty?

Hi, @Bill_209, if the OP is in the EU or UK it's two years.

Cheers

Nice!  A 2-year Factory warranty is much better.

Hi @Gr4ndp4, thanks for that, I will follow up a warranty claim, however I am not sure if we get over 12months in Australia, but will give it a go 😀
