Hello, my friend bought herself an Inspire 3 but she doesn't have a smartphone. Can I use my smartphone to get her started? Thank you

Hi, @Sussex_Lady welcome to the community, may I suggest you review the Inspire 3 manual at Fitbit User Manuals - Fitbit Help Center and watch this Video first? Much will depend on your relationship with your friend, they would have to understand how much of their personal information will be on your phone. Using a Fitbit device without the app close at hand will be a very limited experience. If you already have a Google account and a Fitbit app on your phone with your own Fitbit device, you can't add another device as the app only allows one at a time. If you do not have the Fitbit app on your phone there's no reason you can't download the app & register her Inspire 3 to your account but it will be limiting for the user. I have not tried to set up a second fully autonomous Google account on my phone.
I'm sorry I can't offer much help here, I think your friend will get the best result by acquiring a smartphone, but before they do they should check it satisfies the limits described here - Fitbit Compatible Devices - Help note the minimum OS requirements and that Android GO is not included.
I hope this helps
Cheers

@Sussex_Lady Your friend can also use a wi-fi tablet, if she has a home network. A user needs a compatible smartphone OR tablet.
