Inspire 3 won't charge

My inspire 3 is not charging. Today I plugged it in to charge when it was around 40%. I mistakenly placed the fitbit on top of something metal (fitbit was on the charger, cable plugged in). When I went to get it a few hours later the charge had been drained. Now it won't charge at all. I have plugged it into another outlet and I know the block works because I used it for my phone. I can't seem to find info on what to do if itnis mistakenly charged near metal. It will vibrate when on the charger and show the logo but no percentage. After it stays blank.

Hi there, @tara_513. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 3 is still not charging. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

Keep in mind that a Fitbit might not seem to be charging when actually the issue is that it has become unresponsive (this can happen if the battery has been allowed to discharge completely).  I would suggest putting it on to charge on a charging wire and outlet known to be working.  Leave it on the charger for a good two hours, even if it doesn’t seem to be charging. If the issue persists, please see Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

Regarding your inquiry, that will pose absolutely no danger to yourself or to the charger or to the Fitbit device, so please do not be at all concerned!  There is nothing at all to worry about.
