My inspire 3 watch has lost its pairing with my android phone and it will not pair up again.  I have tried everything in the help section and nothing has work.  Any other ideas?

Hi there, @Susan39. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Inspire 3 is still not syncing despite all the steps you've tried so far. I'll do my best to help you with this.

To better assist you, would you mind confirming whether you tried the steps I'm sharing below?

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Inspire 3 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

Before trying the above, please be aware that most Fitbit devices store up to 7 days of detailed minute-by-minute data. If you wait longer than 7 days before syncing, you may only see the most recent week's detailed data. Summary data (calories, distance, steps, and floors) will be stored for 30 days. Nevertheless, if your Fitbit device was unpaired from your Fitbit account during this period of time, neither the 7 days can be recovered or restored.

If the above doesn't help, please let me know whether you receive an error message either on your Inspire 3 or Fitbit app so I can go from there.

Hi there, @Aiza12. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your Inspire 3 is still not pairing despite following the steps I've provided above. I understand where your concern is coming from as your Inspire 3 is new. I'll be glad to continue assisting you.

In addition to the steps you've done so far, I'd suggest trying to perform a factory reset by following the steps below"

  1. Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app.
  2. On your Fitbit device, open the Settings app > Device Info Clear User Data

After trying the above, please proceed to set up your Inspire 3. For more information, see How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes.

My fairly new Inspire 3 also just stopped connecting to my iPhone. This post and suggested “fix” is depressing. You really expect me to delete every existing Bluetooth connection on my phone?  Like many others I have a BUNCH of those. I’m really not interested in spending a day doing this and disrupting my connections in the HOPE this may work. If that’s the best answer I may just chalk my Fitbit up as an expensive failure.

My inspire 3 is doing the same thing. This is the second inspire 3 device and it worked for a day or two and now I can't get it to connect again either. Feeling extremely frustrated too.

My Fitbit unpaired some time after 10:38pm last night Australia time.  It's around 8 months old I think.  I've been through the instructions multiple times.  Everything is charged up.  I unpaired other devices from the Android phone.  I restarted the phone and Fitbit.
A message flashes up on the phone but it's too quick to read it.  One time I needed a pin, but there was never an opportunity to put a pin number in and what would it be?
1) Where do I find my Fitbit pin?
Another message started... Can't communicate... or similar, it disappeared and I've forgotten.
2) Do I have to repeat this all in the same order every time?

Ok, it's working thanks, though I have no idea how and when that happened as I was trying for over an hour and bluetooth never showed as connected. The only thing I did differently was plug my phone in the charger even though it was already 92% charged.
Now to reconnect my other devices.

Mine won’t connect to my iPhone at all. I’ve tried everything. So frustrating.

My inspire 3 is also not syncing and I’ve tried everything including factory reset. What’s really making me upset is the lack of any real help from Fitbit/Google, as this is clearly a software issue with the watch. Come on Google - fix the bug or you’ll lose a lot of customers!!
