Any feedback on how reliable the connected GPS is on the Inspire 3? My old Inspire HR only maps one out of four walks/runs and has been like this for years now. Very random.

@Jay204 The Inspire 3 hasn’t been officially released yet. Not many people have them yet. I don’t own one so I can’t speak on it’s reliability.

They released nearly a week ago. But yes… still not a lot of time for people to be owning and trying them out. I guess no news is good news 🙂

@Jay204 Pretty sure the official statement from Fitbit is it's being released September 22nd or 23rd, at least that's what I find when Googling it. Maybe some got it early or it came out earlier than anticipated.

The release date was Thursday, Sept 15. That’s why you’re seeing people posting in the Inspire 3 forums now. They’ve been available at Best Buy etc since last week.
Personally, I am holding off until I see Fitbit fix the iOS sleep reporting problem.

I’ve tried it once with an iPhone 13 & it was quite unreliable & yes it was released about a week ago

I'd been holding out hope for the Inspire 3 but gave up this past weekend and bought an Apple Watch 8. Every activity I've done with it has properly tracked location and mapped it. I know it's a lot more money but the GPS works, the sleep data isn't contradicting itself like Fitbit has been for the past month, and the heartrate tracking seems much more accurate.

Unreliable IMO. There’s another thread with these issues

No. I've had mine for a few weeks and twice it's failed to record the GPS for large sections of an exercise. And when you contact support, all they say is things about clouds blocking the signal or they'll ask you to do a hard reset of the device.
Here's one example where it dropped out for a few kms even though I was outdoors with my phone mounted on the front of my bike with perfect view of the sky on a clear day.
If you want something that you can absolutely rely on to record your GPS, I don't think Fitbit is the way to go.

Yeah... i went to apple watch a couple months ago. The gps is incredibly reliable.

Did a walk today to test if GPS is working. After checking the app, I saw the app was able to track and map my walk.. So I switched to running exercise. Made sure that GPS tracking is on in the exercise menu..
After running 5k and finishing the exercise, I checked the app again but it didn't map my run..
So it randomly decides not to map something even though I was in the same location?
