Log says I was sleeping but I wasn't

It's my first night with the fitbit and I'm not sure how to fix this. I fell asleep at 10pm, woke up at 2am and stayed up until 6am and woke back up at 11am. The sleep log acts as if I was back asleep inbetween the two sessions, even saying I was in deep sleep and REM sleep for awhile.

I'd like to fix this but I'm also questioning if the device tracks sleep accurately now? Does this happen often? I bought this specifically to track the quality of my sleep.
