Hi @ushere.  Rowing got added with firmware version 194.91.  The number of exercise shortcuts went from about 20 to 40.

But I have some disappointing news for you.  The rowing shortcut doesn't track any rowing specific metrics.  It looks identical to the workout shortcut with a different label.

hi, thanks for the quick response. appreciated.

I'm not worried about the rowing details, however, rowing isn't showing up
at all on my inspire 3 list of activities?

in fact, I've no idea what version you're referring to. if I go to app it
says 4.49.
if I go to settings > system, I see 63.20001.214.24

I note you mention firmware version. how do I find my firmware version. and
how do I update it if necessary?

thanks for your time and patience,

leslie

@ushere   You have firmware version 214.24.  The rest of the number is the device code.  Swipe left or right on your Inspire 3 screen to get to your Exercise app.  Swipe up in the screen to scroll through the shortcut list.  There are 40, so you need to do a lot of scrolling.  After you use a shortcut, your list gets divided into Recents and everything else, keeping your favorites at the top.

There is a tutorial in the Fitbit app that can show you how to navigate your device.  Tap on the battery/device icon in the upper left of your Fitbit app, then your Inspire 3 tile.  Scroll down to Tip & support to use the tutorial.

hi lzeew, thanks for the help - unfortunately i'm not seeing 40 activities anywhere - on the app i have 21 activities, but not rowing?

i've searched everywhere to find the extended list without success.

i gather from your previous comment that workout is pretty much the same as rowing - if so, i can live with that 😉

again, many thanks,

@ushere   This isn't on the app, it is on the device itself.  The Inspire 3 only had 21 activities when it was released and you customized it on the app.  The other activities got added, but Fitbit (ooops) didn't remove that exercise shortcut section on the app.  I think you will see the Exercise app on your Inspire 3 if you swipe twice to the left on your screen.

ah ha!

now we're getting to the crux of the matter, and thanks by standing by me,
really is appreciated 🙂

unfortunately, (and not realising otherwise after getting the 3), using the
app, to simplify my life, i simply ticked the shortcut for 'workout' and
turn all the others off. this now shows up as expected on the second swipe
left (after notifications). however, i'm now at a complete loss as to how
to show any other activities on the device?

if i sweep up i get the start activity, and that's the only sweep i get.
swiping any other direction does nothing?

am i missing something obvious, or have i snookered myself into a corner?

@ushere   Your Inspire 3 navigates exactly like my Luxe.  It sounds like you tapped on the screen.  Tapping takes you to the settings for that shortcut -- this is different from other models you might have used.  The usual step is tap to open the app.  Not here.  Swipe up without tapping.  You can see this on this YouTube short

we are in business!

many, many thanks indeed🤗

so, I gather the shortcuts on the app is now obsolete?

again thanks for your time and patience.

@ushere   Yes, they are obsolete.  I have some good news for you.  After you use a shortcut, that list divides itself into recently used and everything else.  You won't have to search that long list each time.
