Hello, i recognised I had more than 1.5 hours of deep sleep auto-logged when I woke up this morning. I tried to add the nap time through sleep log in the afternoon, however the overall sleep time reduced and the deep sleep reduced to 40 mins. I deleted the manual log and the number didn’t get back to original statistic. How should I fix it?

Hi @Gr4ndp4 , thanks for advice. I went through those FAQ before but I’m afraid thry don’t help much on the calculation, I believe the deep sleep duration should be fixed or higher no matter how much nap I entered afterward. I deleted the auto detected record and manually input the night sleep time. It returned to similar duration for deep sleep I saw in the morning. I can’t explain the reason but I guess it has to be updated to reflect more accurate information.

Hi, @Shinyshiny, thanks for your feedback. FYG I wear both my Inspire 3 and another (more expensive device - yes very nerdish) and compare my statistics each morning. I find that Fitbit's deep sleep data is broadly comparable with the other device, 10 or 12 minutes difference in an hour of deep sleep is normal. If you consider they use different sensor/LED arrays and obviously use different algorithms this is understandable. I find that the sleep data broadly follows how well I sleep & how I feel upon waking in the morning but would not go so far as to say these numbers are any form of a gold standard. These are not medical instruments in a laboratory environment.
Rather than "accurate" information I would describe the output as "broad brush".
I hope this is helpful.
Cheers
