Lost all fitbit history after switching to new phone

My girlfriend got a new Samsung 24+ and used the wireless data transfer to set up the new phone. After that, her Inspire 3 has had trouble connecting to the phone and all of her previous data (7+ years) was wiped, only random things all the way back in 2019 are visible on the app now.

After contacting support and looking through old posts her and on fitbit it makes no sense that the user history data is all gone because that should be on the server.

She’s using the same email that she’d get the weekly tracking emails, but its a gmail account that was originally a fitbit account and I think automatically switched over to being a google account. Is it possible all the data is lost? Anyone ever have a problem similar to this?

All data is stored by the Fitbit email/ID used to log in to Fitbit app.  As long as that is the same, it makes no difference what the phone is.  I'm not sure about receiving weekly emails - the key is logging into the app.  Might see if can still log into Fitbit app on old phone; think should still be able to log in and see database, even if bluetooth connection is gone so no longer getting current data.  Also check fitbit.com dashboard.  That is always to safest place to check the database, as long as logged into account correctly.

P.S. As far as I know, nothing has been automatically switched from Fitbit to Google account;  They have been begging us all make the switch but have not done anything automatically, yet.  And it is important to know what email you/she was using to log into the fitbit app with.  If she is logging in with the wrong email/fitbit ID that would explain the problem as they would be looking at different entries in the fitbit database.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
