Missing Settings app, Can't turn back on Wake Mode

My new Inspire 3 seems to be having multiple issues.  

1) I do not have the "Settings" icon.  If I swipe down on the screen from the clock face, I get nothing but a blank screen.

2) Yesterday, my screen stuck on turning off the Wake mode.  When I touched the screen, it turned it off and now I can't get it back on because the Settings icon is missing.  

3) I can activate the Clock Face and if I want to see any data, I have to VERY carefully scroll down.  When I get to the end, the screen just goes blank.  When I wake the screen back up, it does not go back to the Clock Face AND I can't scroll up or down without the screen going blank. 

4) I have already attached it to the charger and done a reset on it.  It hasn't recovered the Settings icon so I still can't turn Wake Mode back on so the clock face will show when I turn my wrist.

The Alta HR, which was my first FitBit, has been discontinued.  It worked immediately after it was charged.  I never needed any tech support with it and it lasted almost 6 years.  I have a small wrist and wanted a low profile fitness tracker similar to the Alta HR.  Thus far, I am disappointed in this one.

Why are the FitBits not designed in a way we can access settings for issues like the Wake Mode from the apps in our phones?  Would be easier to read than the 2 point font on my wrist.
