My Fitbit Inspire 3 charges but then the screen and backlights don't turn on

Hello, 

I got my Fitbit Inspire 3 for Christmas and since I've gotten it, it's being giving me lots of trouble. I usually charge it in an AC-adapter that is the same one I use to charge my phone on, but with it's Fitbit charging cable. Last night, I was away from home and I plugged it in the hotel where I was staying and I noticed, an hour after I plugged it in, that instead of loading up on the battery it was not charging, I plugged it in on 40% and then I checked it and it was on 20%. What might be the problem for when I'm charging it? Could it be that my AC-adapter isn't the right voltage or my Fitbit cable is not working correctly?

Can someone please help me, I would appreciate to get some answers.
