New Inspire 3 - detected laps swim after 30 minutes

My new Inspire 3, set Unit as Feet, Miles, but Swim record displays Meters. Detected laps swimming after I started 30 minutes later. I used Inspire 2 was pretty good at tracking Lap swim. Should I return it to get a new one?

I had a Inspire 2 and it was also pretty good at recording laps.

Got a Inspire 3 and didn't record laps or if if does it's only a few. The water lock won't stay on. They replaced it with another 3 and exactly same problem. Now after the lasted update it's even worse. 

Can't even record my walks without having graphics I don't want comming on the screen. 

Hopeless. Now refer to it as a **ahem**bit!
