New Inspire 3 stuck on black screen

I unboxed my new Inspire 3 yesterday. Started charging and the display showed the percentage. I downloaded the APP and then ran into the Fibitt server/app issues yesterday. The watch did show 100% and when I removed it from the charger, it displayed the pair images, but of course, it never found my iphone as the app wasn't working correctly. Today, the app is okay, but now the Fitbit only has a black screen. If I do the reset, the logo flashes, but then goes back to black. I can feel it vibrating, so I know it's on, but it is now not functional since the screen stays black. I've tried recharging, but nothing displays while on the charger and a few hours of being plugged in has no results.

I contacted support and they were totally unhelpful and did not seem to know the product as well as I did after only having it for a day.

Has anyone overcome an issue like this?
