Over the past two days, my Fitbit hasn't recorded my breathing rate or HRV.
This is the first time it's happened, SpO2, RHR and Skin temp all got recorded fine.
Assumed it was a one off after the first night, but it's now still not recording anything after 2 days.
Is this a server side issue and affecting others or is something wrong with my hardware? It's nearly full charged, software up to date, it was worn all day and on the usual tightness level.

Did you get Sleep stages (REM, Deep, Light) on the Sleep tile?
HRV and BR heart metrics aren't returned by design (useless) if the Sleep algorithm is unable to determine your sleep stages.

I did yes, although I noticed there's no sleep score.
Yesterday has a sleep score but neither day has a HRV or BR result. Since I got the Fitbit 18 months ago, I've never had any issues - it's the first time since owning it where it's not returned the data. After one day I thought it might be a one off, but now it's been two days I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong.

I almost always get sleep stages and the 5 heart rate metrics returned, but my wife rarely gets sleep stages and HRV/BR metrics returned, even when she is wearing my known-good device.
We have absolutely no idea why that is happening, but it appears that the Google-Fitbit Sleep algorithm works much better for some people than it does for other people.
The CS team has no clue why that is happening and I haven't found anyone on this forum that knows why either, so we're still waiting for the magical device FW or app SW update that resolves this performance issue.

It just fixed itself, didn't do anything 🤷🏻:female_sign:

The same is happening for me. I have used this fitbit for a year with no problems and now I get no br or hrv. I wear it nightly and correctly. I forced it to reboot and that did not fix the problem. I recently stopped my premium account. Could that be the problem.

My wife almost never got sleep stages on her original and two replacement devices, and the same is true with the known-good device that I was wearing that I gave her to wear now, so this is definitely not a hardware problem.
The Google-Fitbit Sleep algorithm apparently uses HRV, among other things, to determine sleep stages so, if sleep stages can't be determined, HRV isn't returned either.
It appears that the Sleep algorithm works much better for some people than it does for others for some reason, so this performance issue can only be resolved with a device FW or app SW update.

A Premium account is not needed to get sleep stages and all 5 heart metrics. I let my Premium account expire and everything still works fine.

Thanks. I’ve updated the SW so we’ll see if it fixes the problem

Thanks. I didn’t think dropping premium would be responsible, but the problem did start at the same time that premium expired.
