Please please please tell me how to turn off smarttrack

None of the previous posts on this topic have actually told me how to turn it off. It has guides that don’t work. I HATE this feature and I never asked for it. This should be a simple “go here, toggle off” not a twelve step process.

@RHarford , Thank you for your message. A warm welcome to the Community!
You need to turn 2 thing off if you don't want any activity to be recognized.

SmartTrack - Autorecognition that runs in the background . The settings for it are located in the Fitbit app.

  1. From the Today tab

in the Fitbit app, tap the Exercise days tile.
  2. Tap the gear icon

     at the top.
  3. Tap the activity you want to adjust.
  4. Change the starting time or put the activities as ignore.
Save the changes and sync the Inspire 3 with the Fitbit app for the tracker to overtake the settings changed.

Autostart - Charge 6, Inspire 3, Sense 2, and Versa 4 can automatically detect certain workouts and open the Exercise app after a few minutes. To turn on/off this feature:

  1. Open the Exercise app on the Inspire 3 itself.
  2. Tap on each individually Bike, Elliptical, Rowing, Run, Spinning, and/or Walk option.
  3. Swipe up. Auto Start is turned on by default, but if you turned it off, tap to turn it back on. The next time your device detects this workout type, the Exercise app automatically opens.
  • The first time you start an auto-detected workout, your Fitbit device will vibrate and a message will appear, asking if you want to track the exercise. You'll have 30 minutes to confirm that you want to track it. If you don't interact with the message, it appears again during your next auto-detected workout for one minute. Be sure to tap the start button on your Fitbit device to dismiss the confirmation screen and automatically track that exercise type in the future.
  • To automatically detect when your workout ends, you can also turn on Auto-Stop.
  • GPS is off by default for the Walk option
