My sons Inspire 3 tried to do the update but it failed and now we have the Red Cross of doom on the device. The App can’t connect to it so we’ve no control of the device at all. It’s alternating between the flashing logo screen and the Red Cross and that’s it.
it’s only a month old!
I’ve tried the reset but nothing happened

Try connecting the device to a charger and then press/hold the buttons on both sides of the device for at least 10 seconds, or until the screen goes blank and then displays the Fitbit logo.
This performs a Factory Reset of the device, which should recover it if it isn't bricked.
