Sleep tracking not working with time zone changes

Unfortunately I am on a travel schedule which puts me in six time zones in seven weeks.  The sleep tracking widget seems to be hopelessly confused.  I have the device set to sync automatically with my watch.  The sleep tracking either doesn’t work at all or displays incorrect times in some places.  Today I am in ET.  If I open the sleep tracking widget, the sleep timeline shows 11:59pm-3:43am and then “other sleep” from 1:11am-3:41am.  If I go to Edit Sleep it shows sessions from 1:18am-5:02am and 6:17am-7:20am - which is probably fairly accurate.  The dashboard shows 33 minutes of sleep.  I did not switch timezones overnight and have been in ET since Thursday.  I have reset my Fitbit and logged in and out of the app.  It is really annoying when one is already jet lagged.

Hi there @Lsullivan11 It's great to see you in the Community! Allow me to help you tracking your sleep.

I'm sorry to read you device find trouble logging your sleep with your schedule. Please note that this is an expected behavior of the mobile app while changing timezones is too frequent.

To have a more accurate sleep tracking i recommend that you manually change timezone echa time you need so. For instructions to manually change timezone, please follow the instructions in our help article How do I change the time on my Fitbit device? below the section "How do I fix the time on my Fitbit device?"

In order to have an optimal performance of your mobile app, ensure to have it updated by following the instructions in our help article How do I use the Fitbit app? below the section "How do I update the Fitbit app?"
