I'm using Inspire 3 with Android v15 (Samsung). Special note that I have a pacemaker, since heart rate is used for measurement, but it hasn't been a problem. Everything was fine for well over a year and I had reasonable stats. (Also had a different FitBit model prior.) Just a few weeks ago the sleep tracking broke. It now still logs the time in bed but tells me I'm awake for most of every single night, with only a few minutes of actual sleep. That's crazy and not possible. If I recall there was a firmware update recently as well, and this started around then? Anyone experiencing this? If it continues I'm going to cancel the subscription because that's just useless now.

I've been dealing with the exact same thing. Shows me awake a lot more and barely any REM sleep when I know I am getting REM sleep. Scores are now horrible. Not sure what is going on.

Well, glad I'm not alone in this. But sorry it's happening to you too @tanders1 . Hello, Google!? My guess is they tuned their models but now it's messed up for a select few users.

Having same problem. Replaced my Fitbit a year ago for this issue. I have premium, didn’t help.

Here is a picture of last night's sleep edits.
It has been happening to me for the last few weeks also. If you want fitbit to Recognize this problem please Up Vote the original question and any other posts you see posted.
I have been doing a work around to at least get my sleep recorded:
I would note the large chunks of time listed as awake.
Then delete the entire sleep record.
Then manually list in each portion of time. For example: 11:10 to 12:00; 12:00 to 4:20; 4:20 to 5:15; 5:15 to 7:00.
This way, the large periods of awake time get recorded with more sleep.
Of course, I'm guessing this will mess up your sleep animal. But I would rather know how much sleep I really got.

Thanks @DarkowFit for posting this problem. Please Up Vote the replies. Sadly, I have seen Fitbit not respond to problems, so check out my workaround. @tanders1 @Donchris please read this also.

@LizzyFitbit Just a tip for analysis of the problem: The first period of sleep is almost entirely listed as awake for about an hour on mine. I know it is wrong because I normally fall asleep in 2 to 5 minutes.

It looks like June 23, 2025 was the last day that it recorded correctly.

@Ddonna confirmed Jun 23 for me too! It went Fubar after that. A few nights have better stats than others, but never asked good as before. Always huge "awake" gaps.

Valiant effort but I don't have time to do this. Just not worth it for me. If they don't fix it I'm going back to free version just to track exercise.

Just contacted help line.
they told me to add inspire again and reassured me that no data would be lost.
This morning is better, we’ll see.

It has been fine x 2 days- try going to phone Icon icon on top left- don’t deletes your fitbit.
.Where it says add more devices, add inspire 3. This will replace the Fitbit you have attached( really the same one.) Got this from contact support texting,

I did those steps to re-add my Inspire 3, but it hasn't fixed the sleep tracking. Still shows me as awake most of the night 🤷🏼:male_sign:
