My step count the last two weeks seems incredibly high. Is there a way to recalibrate your steps?

Good to see you participating for the first time in the community @Annlouised.

Thank you for sharing the difficulty that you are experiencing with the device.

Before considering other options please make sure that your Inspire 3 is up-to-date.

Keep in mind that excess vibration might cause extra steps. Fitbit devices have a finely-tuned algorithm for step counting. The algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns. When working at a desk, cooking, or performing other activities with arm movements, a device on your wrist may add some steps. When you’re doing activities that involve arm movement you often walk a few steps in-between stationary periods as well, so the device tries to give you credit for those steps.

If the above doesn't describe your issue, by any chance, do you have MobileTrack also linked to your Fitbit account? If you do, please note that MobileTrack could be tracking those extra steps. To verify this, please in the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > then tap Devices. In this section you'll see your Versa 3 and below your phone (in case MobileTrack is indeed connected).

If the above describes your situation, you can remove MobileTrack by tapping on the phone's icon and then select "Remove From Account".
