I lose track of how many laps i've done while swimming. Can the Inspire 2 or Inspire track this? It only tracks time duration swimming after i start a swim and i only see the number of laps after i've finished and it's always different to what i thought i did!
Hi, @Manic112, welcome to the community, Lap counting is a bit of an art and it's easy to be distracted. The "Tracker" devices have never had lap counts though the "Sense" & "Versa" models did recently display laps or distance. Sadly the feature is no longer present on the "Sense 2" and "Versa 4". May I suggest you visit Fitbit Community where you will see we are not alone in asking for this feature. Run a search in the search bar and vote for the suggestion that you feel is closest to your own request.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

@sotia.s Sense is currently the only watch with that feature left. If you need a tracker mostly to track swimming you might want to consider more dedicated watch.
Best AnswerI have looked at all threads as well to see how to set to count swim distance and very few address Inspire 3. I can find nothing and have tried everything on app and watch settings. I feel very duped as I researched all the watches prior to purchase and company info says Inspire 3 tracks swim distance. I had a Versa for three years that tracked swim distance fairly accurately. It is beyond frustrating that there is no company help line or even customer service contact to seek answers. Love the slim liner of the watch but disappointed in the real options for fitness use.
@Mountainsal Inspire 3 can measure distance but not in real-time (you won't see it on the watch while swimming). You need to set Pool Length. See the manual (pages 39 and 40):
https://help.fitbit.com/manuals/manual_inspire_3_en_US.pdf
The feature of real-time metrics for swimming has been gradually removed and current flagship devices (Sense 2, Versa 4 and Pixel Watch) don't support it.
The lengths and distances can be checked after the swim in the app. However, there's not much else so if your expectations are higher (you want to know stroke type, stroke count, stroke rate, SWOLF, pace per lap etc.) then you need to look for something more dedicated.
Thank you this was very helpful, I had not previously seen a link for the manual. I can not find lengths and distance in the app. Can you let me know where to find the swim info in the app?

Best Answer@Mountainsal After tracking, you'll find swim info in the Exercise tile in the app dashboard (tap it and you'll see all activities). Tap Swim and you should see the lengths and distances. I can't show it to you because due to my Fitbit account migration to Google, my app is broken and I can't see past a week of activities (I'm going to swim today so I may track one to show you).
Best AnswerHi, @Triletics & @Mountainsal Having completed your swim & synced your Fitbit app on your phone it should look like this -
Tap the exercise tile then swim and get this -
Touch the tabs to get lengths etc.
I hope this helps.

@Gr4ndp4 I think you addressed the wrong person 🙂 I know what it looks like but currently can't post any screenshots because my app doesn't let me scroll to my last swim activity (doesn't load past activities). @Mountainsal, see the screenshots above, this is what it should look like when you open the app.
Best AnswerHi, @Triletics, sorry about that, have you tried restarting your Fitbit app on your phone? I know there has been a disturbance in the "Force" following the account transfers but I am told the issue has been resolved.
Cheers
