Turn off “phone out of range” notice

ANSWERED

Is there a way to turn off the “phone out of range” notifications?  I often have my phone out of range while wearing my Fitbit and find it annoying.

@kh744   I'm reading your post a little differently.  It sounds like you are writing about the Status indicators that are part of the latest firmware update.  There are four: DND is on, you are in Sleep mode, your Bluetooth is disconnected, and your battery is critically low.  You can control them in the Settings app (gear) on your Inspire 3.  Open the Settings app on your Inspire 3 > Display > look for Status indicators and turn it off.

These icons are supposed to disappear in three seconds when you wake your screen.

Hi @kh744 and warm welcome to the Community !
I appreciate your message, and I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this situation regarding the “phone out of range” message.

Some Fitbit devices, as the Inspire 3, works with phone (connected) GPS and uses the GPS sensors on your phone to capture GPS data.
In that sense, users must keep their phone near their device during the workout.

If your activities need the GPS track, and you left the phone, this message may appear.

Are your activities related to the GPS tracking ?

I understand why the message appears.  I was hoping there is a way to turn off this feature.

Hi, @kh744 , is this a message that you are receiving when you are using the exercise app on your Fitbit?  If that is the case, please just make sure that you turn off the GPS option while you are working out with your phone out of range.  On your Fitbit swipe left to come to the exercise app.  Some of the activities will have a GPS option (activities where you cover distance).  If you are doing one of these activities, navigate to it (e.g. “run”) tap to open and then swipe up to find the settings for that activity.  Find GPS and make sure it is toggled to OFF.  Repeat for any other activities that are giving you this warning.  Once you have turned the GPS off on each activity it will stay off until you change your settings (but note sometimes after a firmware update some settings may revert to defaults).
