Did you mean:

Weekly etc. totals not showing up for steps and miles

ANSWERED

When I tap the steps or miles icon, I get no data for the day/week/month/year. However I do get this data for sleep and zone minutes. Just upgraded the firmware and repaired with Bluetooth and I still have the problem. Inspire 3.

Thank you. After posting this in the community, I also contacted Fitbit via chat we basically did the steps you recommend above, and my totals are restored.

Very strange that would only affect steps and miles, and not sleep and active minutes!

Hi, @SantaFeKate, Welcome. Can you please provide some more information? Which software have you updated? Your phone (let us know which make, model & OS). The Fitbit app or the recent update to your Inspire 3?

A good fallback procedure is to delete & reinstall the Fitbit app on your phone. The belt & braces procedure is as follows. Manually sync your Fitbit app. Go to your phone settings>apps>Fitbit app>force stop>clear storage>uninstall>go to your phone connected devices & "forget" your Inspire 3>NOW RESTART YOUR PHONE. Go to the Play Store & reinstall the Fitbit app and log in with your Google account, set up your your Inspire 3 again.

Please post here again & let us know how you get on.

Cheers

If I follow these steps as outlined above, will I lose all my historical data?

I am having the same issue as the original poster, but only on my iPhone app. My iPad app seems to have all the information I need, but I’d rather have it on my phone. Thanks!

I did not lose my historical data. It was a pretty straightforward solution.

Hi, Could you please provide the steps needed to correct this problem on an iPhone? I don't see how to force stop/clear storage/etc on my phone. I've got an iPhone 12 mini, iOS 18.5. Everything else seems to work, just no weekly/monthly totals anymore. Thanks for your help!

I don’t think I can reconstruct exactly what I did. But I basically followed the directions in the post near the top of this sequence. Make sure your phone is synced correctly for today. Then delete and reinstall the app and set it up again. Hopefully that will work!

If not, I had success on a chat with Fitbit. Good luck!

Thanks. I did this, including chat with Fitbit. Fitbit told me "they were working on the problem.” So no solution yet. I miss this function.

Hi there! It's great to see you all here in the Fitbit Community!

@jillzer1011@Ruach525 Welcome to the Fitbit Family!

@Gr4ndp4@SantaFeKateThanks for the help!

@Ruach525 I suggest you try to follow the steps as @SantaFeKate suggested and to log out before you delete the Fitbit app, then reinstall and log in again.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app on my IPhone and that did not fix the problem.  Fitbit has been saying they’re working on this for many, many months but nothings been done.  I pay for a Premium subscription and need the cumulative data to receive a discount on my health insurance. This is so unacceptable and I’m beyond frustrated!  How do I initiate a chat with Fitbit?

Hi. Would you mind providing the steps for doing this on an IPhone?  I’ve logged out of the app, deleted and reinstalled it, but that didn’t change anything and I still only see daily totals, no weekly, monthly, etc.   thanks so much.

Hi Cupcake17, I did just as @SantaFeKate suggested I Iogged out and then deleted the Fitbit app, then reinstalled it and logged in again. Make sure you actually delete it from your phone and not just from the home screen. It has to be completely gone. Hope this helps.

You go to the Fitbit help center. I don't remember exactly what I did to find the chat function- probably went to contact fitbit- or tried to find the info on their site and when I couldn't it offered me the chat option. However, I didn't find the chat to be any help at all. ymmv. Good luck!

Hi, @Ruach525, To access the chat or phone links, use the Fitbit app or Customer support on line. In the Fitbit app, touch your icon in the top right of the "Today" screen>help>Help center>contact us>Now work through steps 1 & 2, then choose chat or phone.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Thank you so much for replying to my question! I truly appreciate it. I did logout and delete the app. When I reinstalled it, it didn’t require me to login again and my previous data was still there. Very strange. I’ll keep trying to figure it out. Thanks again!

Maybe try it again, but this time, after you delete the app, turn off your phone for a minute. Maybe when you turn it back on it will have cleared that info. Good luck.

Thanks again. Unfortunately that didn’t work either. The app is also not tracking heart, zone minutes, health data, etc. only steps and miles for the current day. I’ll try to contact customer support. I really appreciate your help so much!
