What should I buy Inspire 3 or Luxe?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I used to have an Alta HR which I really liked. A fall cracked it and it died. So I replaced with the Inspire 2, which I have not liked since day 1. I have very small wrists so I have to stick with these smaller models. I'm looking at replacing with the Luxe. Or is the Inspire 3 way better than the 2?

Trying to decide which way to go.

Hi @nancefarm, welcome to this amazing community!

I just want to let you know that I have moved your post to the Inspire 3 board to get in touch with people who can give you their opinions about this.

Also, I would like to share the link for the Fitbit Store, where you can compare both devices and see which one better meets your expectations and needs.

@nancefarm - I've got both. The features are almost the same and the look and fit is very close. (At a glance, I can't tell the difference between the black versions). Because it has nearly double the battery life (10-14 days), I would choose the Inspire 3. It also has an 'off wrist' mode, which might be important to you - though you give up the HR data when in that mode.  On the other hand, if you want a color other than black, that might an argument for the Luxe. I think that there are some nicer bands available for it too.

Hello @nancefarm and welcome to the Community.  I own a gold Luxe.  It definitely has more of a "jewelry" look than the Inspire 3.  The Inspire 3 is a matte black plastic case.  I agree with @Baltoscott.  The Inspire 3 has a longer battery life and has the On Wrist/On Body option, if these options are important to you.

I am very curious about the usability, I have found the Inspire 2 to be soooooo buggy (and have seen this feedback all over the internet, much more than the Alta HR I had previously which worked seamlessly, and the One I had before that which never had any issues), I am curious if the Inspire 3 has taken care of all the glitches. And how the Luxe falls in to the gltchy category.

My concern is that my Inspire 2 has been so glitchy since day 1. I never had any issues with my Alta HR or even my little One before that. The Inspire 2 has just been a headache. I have read similar reports all over, much more so than with Alta. I am curious if the Inspire 3 got the bugs worked out and how the Luxe is with reliability.

I haven't had problems with either the Luxe or the Inspire 3. They do all the basic stuff I always liked in fitbits except counting floors, and the newer metrics and they sync to my iPhone quickly. I didn't use the Inspire 2 much. I agree with @LZeeW that the gold Luxe has a good look. The black one is fine, but aluminum case doesn't really stand out in that color.

@nancefarm   I have personal experience with the Inspire 2.  Calling it a dumpster fire is being kind.  The videos I saw on YouTube look like the Luxe and the Inspire 3 use the same screens and navigation.  I hope @Baltoscott can confirm or correct.

Your One and Alta HR were in a league of their own.  Simple, reliable.
