I'm not allowed to wear my fitbit around my wrist at work (new rule they think it can't be washed/be wet when washing hands but we can wear a wedding ring and not worth the fight for me about gemstone crevices vs silicone strap half up the wrist above where the glove stops even for food safety). I really need to track heart rate and wonder where else can I strap it to monitor that? I also wear compression socks so idk if it detects it over socks, when I placed it against my ankle it didn't track HR. Is there a band for upper arm? And can it fit a 250lb person's arm? I'm really motivated to lose weight and want to use this to help me even figure out where to start with exercise. My bra strap doesn't always sit tight against my body since I am bigger so idk about there? Is there a good bra strap place for bigger ladies?

Hi, @cendricli , Fitbits definitely cannot detect heart rate on top of compression socks - or any clothing. The heartrate is detected by shining the LED lights on your skin and thereby detecting the blood vessels underneath. Could you put it against your ankle inside your compression socks? The tightness of the socks would hold it in place I expect…
Maybe you could hold it in place on your upper arm by placing it under a cotton sweatband? Or perhaps you could tape it (using first aid kind of tape that won’t irritate skin) against your skin inside your bra? Or even using a plaster/bandaid to hold it in place inside your bra during the hours you are at work.
Fitbit do not make bands other than for the wrist, and using the clip available for the Inspire 3 means it won’t be able to detect heartrate.
Good luck with your weight loss! I am sure that your Fitbit can help with that. Welcome to the Community Forums! You might also be interested in some of the discussions you can find in the Manage Weight Forum .
