Did you mean:

Zone Minutes no longer being registered.

I have started to notice (about the same time we got Cardio Load) that my Inspire 3 is not correctly registering my 'Zone Minutes'.   Did my normal walk today (about 2.4 km) and a 10 minute workout with some weights.  This only gave me about 3 Zone minutes where before my basic walk alone would be about 21 Zone minutes.

Fitbit App and the Inspire 3 are all updated.  Inspire 3 was rebooted, but no change.

Anyone else noticing this discrepancy?

@TheNeilHaley   Fitbit updated the heart rate algorithm with the recent firmware update— v. 210.26.  Please see the firmware update notes here: What’s changed in the latest Fitbit device update?

Yessssss - it doesn't make any sense, because I'm registering same amount of calories in a workout, but suddenly ZERO ZONE. And reading about the updates helped me none whatsoever.

Best Answer

Zone minutes randomly decided to track today after workout, after days of Fitbit refusing to reach moderate heart activity, and as such, produce an AZM number that reasonably correlates with physical excursion . Very inexplicable, and quite frustrating.

I'm exactly the same. Done a 5.5mile walk today and a workout and this would have given me at least 40 zone minutes previously. Today I got 1 for my workout. It's infuriating. I thought I was just imagining until I've read other people's comments on the issue. No idea how to sort it though.

I don't know why this is rated the BEST ANSWER, when it clearly did nothing in way of resolving the question.

I agree with you I do not see how it was the best answer they did not answer the question

I know how you feel I went on a 3 mile walk on Sunday September 8 where according to my device my pace was very fast, yet I got 0 zone minutes. This began after Fitbit forced me into doing an update with the suggestion that it would magically fixed things instead it made things worse.

My choice of "Best Answer" is the correct one.  The Zone Minutes were not being recorded properly due to the firmware update.  Plain and simple.  Over the past couple of weeks, the zone minutes are back to being recorded properly for me.

I suggest you update your app and mobile device.

Maybe for you but not for me and I actually did do the updates and it made things worse for me. Again the update that Fitbit strongly suggested I do made things worse for me. And one more to thing to add is that  I have already discussed this with Fitbit and they admitted they were having issues and that they are working on it.

Today I did the same exercise that I did earlier this week, but it only counted half the time!  What????? I feel like I was sweating through the whole 20 minute workout (plus stretching afterwards).   I manually added, but the disadvantage is that it doesn't show my moderate or vigorous minutes.  Very frustrated.

It has been weeks since I have been missing the zone minutes information (100% low ),  but I had still been getting the graph reflecting my exercise  within each zone so I could see how my distribution among peak, vigorous, and moderate zones.

However, today not only is the zone time information still missing (flat lining how exercise period at 100% in low zone), but the graph is missing entirely. So now I have NO useful information.

is this a Google thing? (I refuse to go to Hoogle with my info), a requirement of Premium membership if want this info, or a defect in the last two upgrades?

Best Answer

I don't have an answer to your question, as I am still having problems of my exercise minutes not being recorded accurately (as they used to be in the past).  I am a premium member and I really resisted being connected to Google with my Fitbit account.  Yet, once I discovered that Google bought out Fitbit, I realized it was a losing battle.  It has made me wonder if the transition from Fitbit from Google is part of the problem and I certainly hope that all of the glitches get worked out.  I have always been a Fitbit user and loved it in the past.  But like you I am frustrated when information is inaccurate or missing.

Bummer!  With the sale of Fitbit to Google, I guess I will be looking for an alternative device then. Too bad, I had been very happy with my many, many years of use. But it just keeps getting more frustrating.
