heart rate doesnt work

Hi,

i got a new inspire 3 and the display doesnt show the heart rate most of the time. also the green light doesnt work all the time, mostly when i lift the watch to look it starts to blink. I never got a problem like this on the inspire 2, i could always check my heartrate and it also was always blinking.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Let me help you with the heart rate reading with your new Inspire 3.

In order to improve battery life, green lights turn on only when is worn. When you lift the device, the accelerometer recognizes you are wearing the device and turns the lights on.

In order to better investigate this, tell me what you see when the heart rate is missing, do you see two dashes instead?

If the issue persists, you may consider restarting your Inspire 3 :

- Swipe down from the clock screen to find the Settings app and then tap the app to open it.
- Swipe up and tap Restart Device.
- Swipe up and tap Restart.

yes 2 dashes, tonight it stopped tracking the heart rate copmpletely for hours and didnt tracked the sleep from then as well. i also checked all the options online..like restart, switching hands. the green lights only blinks when i lift it from the skin. i will bring the tracker back to the where i bought it. i didnt had these problems with the inspire 2.

Did you return it for another one of the same type or ? I'm having the same issue and it's literally the only reason I have a Fitbit. I never had this issue with the Inspire 2 either. The weird thing is, yesterday the app showed that I had 16 zone minutes (which is definitely incorrect, there were WAY more), but the zone minutes don't show on the band at all, and has never shown a reading for my heart rate. Everything that needs to be turned on, is, and all the permissions are correct. I have restarted this thing countless times, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and turned heart rate setting of and back on again. I've tried EVERYTHING I've found online as trouble shooting, and I guess I also have to return it. The amount of time I've spent on this is absolutely insane.
