new update frustrations April25

After today’s update I keep getting a notification of a little phone with a line through it on my Fitbit. To fix the issue (even though my phone is right near me at all times) I have to re-sync with the app. This is happening every hour to 2 hours. 
Who in their right mind would be syncing the app every hour?? 
this is absolutely ridiculous and my first real disappointment in my Fitbit. I’m ready to throw it in the rubbish because it stops notifying me of my messages etc. 

pleade fix this. ASAP.

I had the same issue and came across someone else’s post with the solution! If you swipe down on your device to get to Settings, then tap Display Settings, scroll down until you get to “status tray”. Tap the screen to toggle it off. The annoying icon will go away.
