Hey this is my first fitbit device, so I'm not sure how it all works yet.
But I searched through every menu in the app and on the website, and looked at a few forum posts about this problem.
I want my watch to show DD.MM, I can get it to do so, but only if I set the location (which also changes the language) to something "non-english".
To begin with I set my location to Denmark, Language is english, but date is MM.DD, this is wrong, that is not how we do it in Denmark. I then tried Germany, it changed language to german, and the date changed to MM.DD. But now everything is german!! (date is also right if location is Netherlands, but then the watch is dutch).
I then saw there was an Europe option for location. For sure that would give me DD.MM date format, because it is the most common format. Nope!
So am I missing something here?
I just want my watch with an english language, and a date format in DD.MM.
Please advice.
My current work around is a watch face without date on it, but I would prefer to have it.
Thanks
/JD

Wait - are you telling me that the date format is tied in to the language, and there is no way to have an English language and a sensible date format?
I'm not asking for the moon here, just that the date is displayed correct when I have my location set to Denmark (which uses DD.MM).
Do I really need a watch (and whole interface on the site) in german, spanish or Dutch to get the correct date format? This seems more like a bug than a feature.
The "idea" you linked to is not what I'm looking for.
English language, with a sensible date format DD.MM not just on the watch, but in the entire interface, app, and website alike.
If this cannot be done, I'll have to return my fitbit and move to someone who knows how to make software.
Thank you

You could try changing the clock to "Just Time".
This is still US format but shows as "Jan 03", which at least has the decency to remind you it is in the wrong format.
