1 month in: My experience with the Ionic Adidas (I love it)

With all the discussions here on the ionic, i felt i would write on my 1 month usage of the ionic here.
Seems like it is very much individual to individual here.
My version of the ionic is the ionic adidas version that I purchased at Changi Airport on a biz trip recently. (I have the first gen apple watch, garmin 735xt, polar a370 with me currently, the rest are defunct)

Size
I felt the shape of the ionic is good for keeping heart rate and also for work, when you need the watch to fit under the cuff and slide in and out. Funnily some smaller ones doesn't do that well enough maybe because of the materials used. I initially bought the A370 of the intention of wearing it on one hand and another with a normal wristwatch. Unfortunately the shape/bulk seem inappropriate.
All in all the slimness/shape of the ionic was good to fit the cuff.
I had no issues of wearing it to sleep and while swimming with my daughter. (interestingly the heart rate seems to be reading quite well)

Setup
This was where it started off a little rough.
Setup was a bane. My main phone is a huawei mate 10 pro. Did not check any compatible phone list and just assumed it will work the same with all phones.
Anyway, starting off at a hotel wifi is a mistake. it took ages to download update and setup. Could not do so. Once back home i tried again and could not get it to function well after setup. I had issues syncing with the device. I was honestly disappointed at that time as I loved the adidas watch face and how comfortable the ionic is.
Then desperately (Singapore doesn't have the "not happy then return" it thingy), I switched to an old iphone 5se. From then on I did not have any issues with sync or update.

Function
Main usage of the phones would be sleep tracking, running and bodyweight exercises.
So far all have been functioning to expectations.
I love the layout of the running app with a convenient touch to pause and end workouts.
No holding button for the longest time etc.
Easy to read on the run is also a bonus.
I love the fact that guided bodyweight is on the watch. I remember when i was subscribing to fitstar and fitbit bought it over. I was hoping that this integration happens and now it did.
I don't use it for swim tracking but i do use it while swimming with my daugther.
Functional wise I am very happy with it.

Other considerations
Why fitbit ionic adidas is now my go to watch. (BTW just love the adidas screen)
Notably apple watch is a nice good watch... but battery life is horrible.
I use vibration alarms to sleep and hence by the time i go to work it will last me at most till 8pm. If I have dinner appointments it would not last me till night.
The garmin is a good watch with nice tracking features but i can say sleep tracking is basically non starter. It doesn't track well or no sleep data at all. Another minus for me for the garmin is the gps dependant time. If I am travelling with the watch i would need to step outside to sync the time to use it normally.
For the A370, I love the sleep tracking but somehow it can't fit into my work shirt cuffs and rest comfortably working at the pc.

I don't usually write reviews so this is really a first hand experience of the ionic that I have.
I would like to give a shoutout to the Fitbit team on this page as well.
They seem to work tirelessly handling the queries as best they can - and looking at the crowd, it can get crazy handling them!
From my end... great work guys! Keep spirits high and moving forward.
I hope to see fitbit in years to come.

Cheers to the supportive community here as well.
