$1 transaction at a sporting event

I attended a Vegas Knights hockey game at T-Mobile arena. While at the game there was a $1 transaction against my chase card on my ionic. I have removed my cards from my wallet as it is not secure.

Your Fitbit uses a virtual card, not a physical card. Your bank will be able to tell you which card/device was used for the transaction.

As for the wallet on the ionic, the user is required to hold in the left button before pay is activated, then a password may also be needed.

This also requires a tap to pay so it is unlikely that the button was held in, then tapped against a reader without knowledge. The range is only a couple of inches at best

How do you know it was from the Ionic? I would contact your credit card company. $1 transaction is many times the first step in credit card fraud where they test to see if the card info is accurate.

When i got home the app notified me of a transaction. When i looked in the wallet on the app there was a $1 charge for t-mobile, but no other information was available. This tells me the transaction was on my Fitbit. After removing the credit cards from the wallet,  this information was lost. Looking at my card activity in Chase,  I see charges I made with the physical card.  These charges were not listed in the Fitbit wallet. I have also never seen notifications from the app regarding transactions with the card. I assume that i would only get notification of transactions made by the ionic. The only other notification was the one time I used the ionic to pay. Since I am very new to the world of ionic pay,  please correct me if these assumptions are incorrect.  BTW, I did not see this $1 charge in my chase account.

@Paul1205 @SunsetRunner Thanks for visiting the Fitbit Community.

@Paul1205 I'm sorry to hear about the charge made to your credit card. It comes to my mind the watch faces that require payment through K Pay, they usually cost around $.99 cents. For more information please visit this site. Do you remember downloading a paid watch face? If this is not your case, I would recommend contacting your bank.

Hey @Paul1205, welcome aboard! In order for you to make a payment with your Ionic, you have to press and hold the left button on your device for 2 seconds, swipe to the Payments screen if it's not shown. If prompted, enter your 4-digit PIN code and your card will appear on the screen. To pay with your default card, hold your wrist near the payment terminal. To pay with a different card, you have to swipe up on Ionic to find the card you want to use. Then hold your wrist near the payment terminal. When the payment succeeds, your device vibrates and you’ll see a confirmation on the screen. So it is not possible that a transaction has came from your Ionic if you didn't unlock it by entering the 4-digit code on it. So as been suggested, I would recommend you to contact your bank directly to verify this charge.

Thanks for your help @Rich_Laue!

Keep me posted!
