Are you 100% sure this is only happening when you are your mom's? My husband and I both have Ionic and we don't have any issue getting our notification, we share the same WiFi.

@Shaira, notificatons from your phone to your Ionic do not come over wifi. Wifi is used for downloading music etc and updates to the device.

Notifications, syncing, etc come from a Bluetooth connection between your Ionic and your phone.

If you are not getting notifications, things to check are:

-- Are notificatons turned on on your Ionic?

-- Is Bluetooth turned on on your phone?

-- Is your Ionic "paired" to your phone?  (The actual pairing must be done via the Fitbit app, but you can check in your ohone's Bluetooth settings to make sure it is paired)

If you are not getting notifications at your Mom's and it works other places, then perhaps your phone is not within Bluetooth range, or possibly there is something in your mother's house that is interfering with the Bluetooth signal.

As @MarciM suggests, it is definitely NOT an issue of having two Fitbits connected to one wifi (in fact, it is probably unlikely that your Ionic is connected to your Mom's wifi at all -- you probably set it up to connect to your home wifi, and you can only choose 1.  It does not connect to other wifi set ups unless you remove you enter that wifi's password, amd that will automatically remove your home wifi settings from your device.)

I hope this makes sense.  Welcome to the forums!

In that case I think there must be something at your Mom's house that is interfering with the Bluetooth signal between your phone and your Ionic.  You might try checking in different rooms of the house to see if that makes a difference.
