32.10.15 update issue-no text notifications on Galaxy S7 Edge

UPDATE #2:  Change the toggle to "Always Vibrate" still isn't allowing my notifications to come through on Silent Mode.  Any any fixes out there?

UPDATE:  There IS a toggle under Vibrations Settings, "Always Vibrate" to fix this.

I keep my phone on silent mode all day at work because even the vibrations can be disruptive.  I rely on my Fitbit to notify me when I get a call, text, E-mail, etc and now, it appears there is a new setting after the latest OS update that the Ionic will not put through any messages if your phone is in silent mode?  WTH?  We already have settings to turn off notifications during exercise or while we are sleeping, why isn't that good enough?  I hope I'm just missing a setting I need to toggle on to make it work again.  Anyone else notice this change?

till this update NO notification was forwarded if the phone was in "do not disturb". with that new setting the ionic should be able to display notifications even if that's the case. its added functionality Smiley Wink

Maybe with Do Not Disturb but NOT with Silent mode.  My phone is in silent mode all the time and I've never had any issues getting notifications until now.  Hopefully changing this toggle thing will turn it back on.

Thanks, Fitbit - you have rendered my smartwatch dumb with your latest update - so far, I can still get NO text message notifications since I downloaded the OS update this morning.  I have restarted both my phone and my tracker twice, I even turned my phone off silent mode on to vibrate and still not getting anything.  I got my Ionic at Christmas and have never had an issue with notifications until now.  I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge and using Verizon Messages+ for my texting.  Other app notifications like Facebook Messenger and MedSafe pill app are now coming through but sporadically.  Fitbit moderators - HELP!!

We have a thread of 4 posts about notifications on a phone, but no mention of which OS is running on the phone?

Could @CMichelle please add to the title the OS that the subject is about.

I didn't know there was more than 1...the latest one, 32.10.15.  I will add.

The Fitbit app may be found on Android, window and IOS phones. Notifications come from the phone. Not the tracker.

It is possible to turn notifications off on the tracker. but I don't think this is the problem.

Oh, I've got you, @Rich_Laue but I'm not sure where to find this info on my phone.  Again, I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with the latest OS downloaded that's available.  Android version 7.0, security patch level April 1, 2018?  Does that help at all?  Thanks!

Galaxy S7 running Android 7. I stopped getting text notifications on my Ionic. I get email and calendar and call notifications but not text. Using Verizon Message+. It worked fine up until about a month ago. I have reinstalled and restarted and done everything I have seen on various boards but no luck. Any ideas?
