Ability to log food and water has disappeared from clock face

I have been a Fitbit Ionic user for just one month, and everything has been great until the last few days, when I started having several problems with it. Currently, the screens for logging in water are missing. I have been logging my water drinking faithfully, and for the past couple of days, my new entries wouldn't update. My recorded water intake would stay stuck at the first 8 oz I drank in the morning. Then, this afternoon the ability to log it in disappeared. At the same time, my clock face reset itself to the original default one from out of the box. When I go to Today, I can see  my steps, hours of activity, heart bpm, and that's it. Below that is Settings, and it still tells me I can select up to 7 stats to track, but all that are available to select are Core Stats, Hourly Steps, and Heart Rate. I have tried turning it off and back on again, and have changed clock faces, and nothing helps. What's up with this? I've spent too much time on this and am getting frustrated.

Well, now this evening the water logger and all the other Today stats options on my Ionic have returned! And there is one for logging food as calories as well. After this and some other recent strange happenings with this device, I am concluding for now that if something goes wonky with it or the app it is perhaps best to just give it a day or so to see if it sorts itself out. It has so far. Of course, I do prefer that such an expensive gadget should function at 100% capacity 100% of the time, but perhaps that is too much to ask.

Welcome to the forums!

I'm confused as I have never been able to log food on my Device. Only in the app

Water has been a problem since it came out and I hope they fix it soon

You are right - logging food was not an option, and I have edited it out of my original post. Sorry for the confusion. However, the ability to log my water is still gone. Maybe it will magically reappear, or maybe someone from Fitbit will give us an explanation.
