Absurd Number of Steps, Ionic and Alta HR

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I wear an Alta HR and Ionic at the same time. My step count all of sudden has been crazy, into the 100's of thousands. This morning with my Ionic sitting on my dresser I woke to over 67,000 steps. last week one day I "walked" over 179,000 steps. I called Fitbit support and they've been less than helpful.

Any ideas on how to fix this, these products are unusable in this condition.

TIA

Is the Fitbit is near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.

No to either. Just sitting still on my dresser.
