Hey Everyone!
I appreciate the details that you've mentioned. I would like to clarify the following tips here:
If paired to an iPhone or Android (8.0+) phone, your watch lets you accept or reject incoming phone calls. If your phone is running an older version of Android, you're only able to reject calls from your watch.
To accept a call, tap the green phone icon on your watch’s screen. Note that you can’t speak into the watch — accepting a phone call answers the call on your nearby phone. To reject a call, tap the red phone icon to send the caller to voicemail.
Thanks for your input @wtksk8r.
Hope this helps! Don't hesitate to come back if you have any other question.

No, the Ionic does not take calls. There is no speaker or microphone.

You cannot receive or do anything with phone calls on the Ionic. It does notify you when you have a call coming in. Useful in instances where you have the phone on silent mode or in another room. I don't always hear the phone or feel it vibrate in my pocket so I do like the notification on the Ionic It does tell me who is calling so I can pick up the call or ignore it.

When you get a call and your Ionic vibrates, you can optionally 'pick up' or 'hang up' the call from Ionic. I pick up from ionic when I'm not near the phone or have to fish it out of a tight pocket. I hang up from the ionic all the time, it's a very nice feature.
you can speak to your ionic (plenty of us have swore at ours) but no one will hear you.

That functionality is only available when the Ionic is paired with an iPhone. This is not available when paired with an Android phone.

This actually works with Android as well. I use it with a Moto Z and am able to answer/hang up on calls from the Ionic.

Yes I am also on Android and when I get a call notification I can swipe on the watch to reject, but not really practical to accept since I have to have my phone open to take the call as I do that...

Ok i feel mislead. checked the website and it says that the Ionic works with Iphone, Android, and windows phones.
Your website also states
reading this i am thinking cool i have a an android phone, Samsung tablet, and a PC that runs windows 10 i should be ready and good to go. Only to find out after returning my first watch because the screen went out after 2 weeks. My phone that just came out Aug. 2017 is not totally compatible and you really can not accepts calls even if you are using wireless headphone.
Now if i get a call alert and have to go to my phone to answer the call i am NOT ACCEPTING the call from my watch. I am not going to get started with all the hoops i have to jump to get a few songs loaded.

Silvia, I have Android 8.0 in a Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge. I answer my phone with a bluetooth headset. If I purchase an Ionic, will I be able to answer my phone from the Ionic. I understand that the call will be handled by my phone, but I would want to answer with the Ionic.
Other posters have said that the Ionic will only allow this if I have an I-Phone.

If Older version of IPhone is sync with Ionic then only accepts of reject the call can be done.
Isn’t it posiible to make a call through Ionic with IPhone 6s or 6 +
