Accuracy of Fitbit Ionic

So i get a new ionic, to replace my older FitBit Charge 2. It does not accurately record steps. I am sending it back s after doing a little research on its ability to accurately count steps I realize this product is useless. So many disappointed users and no real explanation from the company. Shame as it would become a $300 bracelet. So much for improvements, going to buy a new strap for the charge 2 and get a refund. Any others decided to send theirs back....any others find a fix. Don't expect this form a new and improved product.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Goonerpdb! Sorry to hear about the discrepancy you're seeing between your trackers and that you're sending your Ionic back. I own both trackers, Ionic and Charge 2 and haven't had any discrepancy issue so far. 

The algorithms used in both devices are the same, so you should see no more than a standard 4% variation between the two. It's possible to get different readings if the trackers are worn in different locations (dominant vs non-dominant wrist). I recommend reviewing the accuracy information provided on our help site at help.fitbit.com. 

However, I appreciate for the thorough feedback for the Fitbit devices. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along.
