Accuracy

Good Morning,

Is there a way to fix the accuracy of all the Fitbit?

It does not count correctly.

Let me explain:

I average 5-7k steps a day. I am getting crushed by my 8yr old son because of the inaccuracy.  Because he is 8 he stands around all day doing the floss. As he does this his arms swing. This racks up the steps. I stood in 1 place yesterday and swung my arms. Racked up several hundred steps in a matter of minutes.

Dont get me wrong I like my watch and so does he.

Just want it not to give false readings.

Thanks,

Scott

There is no remedy to that. All wrist-based step counting uses arm movements to detect steps and it isn't a matter of accuracy but the fact that it doesn't really count steps but arm swings. You may wear it on your ankle but that's sacrificing other features.
