Active minutes not 2x for peak and cardio

Hi,

My Fitbit hasn’t been correctly tracking my active minutes for my last few workouts. For instance, I did a spin bike workout for 30 minutes and spent 19 minutes consecutively in the peak heart rate zone (with the rest being in fat burn or cardio), and the device logged 30 active minutes. I thought that the active minutes were meant to be 2x for time over 10 minutes in the peak/cardio zones? If so, shouldn’t my active minutes be higher than my workout time?

You can read more about that here.

What you are describing is for Active Zone Minutes which has replaced Active Minutes on the new Charge 4, and I guess might be back-added to some other trackers, but I expect not to the Ionic (yet).

If they are still called "Active Minutes", you are definitely still on the older 'Active Minutes' system with no doubling.  Doubling (and totals considered for week) is only when they are called 'Active Zone Minutes'.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
