Hi all,
I've got all my settings set to 'auto detecting' whatever activity I am doing.
Today I went bike riding (outdoors) for about an hour and a half at a good pace - I did not specifically 'prompt' the beginning/end of the activity on the watch itself, hoping it would 'auto detect' it on its own...
Turns out, the Ionic is completely clueless, it did not auto detect any bike riding whatsoever... Could any one point me in the right direction?
Even Google fit on my phone picked up I was cycling... when the Ionic did not!
Thank you!!
🙂

Hey there @zvezdochka, thanks for stopping by! Have you been able to successfully logged other bike activities using SmartTrack since you last posted?
If not, note that when you manually start an activity from your Ionic, these activities override any SmartTrack activities during the same time period. In this instance I'd recommend making sure that any manually started activity via the exercise app on the Ionic is completed before starting a new activity using SmartTrack.
Hope this clarifies!

@zvezdochka Auto detect is pretty much a backup method of tracking activities. If you’re doing something, the best bet is always to manually start the exercise, and this also gives you the option to fine tweak a few options before starting, via the gear icon shown on the screen of the activity.
It also might be worth checking you’ve got the auto-detect settings correctly configured in your account settings page, in case you’ve got biking disabled.
