Hi, community!
Unfortunately this is my first and last post here. I've been an avid supporter of Fitbit as a fitness tracker as my place of work actually reimburses us for fitbit purchases, and for the past year of use, it has been great and easy to use! Any trouble I have encountered, I've been able to find a solution on these forums, and I thank you all for your help in keeping this monitor going for me.
Today I woke up and my tracker would not turn on. I went to sleep with about 35% battery life left, which has always been plenty for a normal 7-8 hour rest for me. I wake and charge while getting ready in the morning. This cycle that I only need to repeat twice a week suddenly doesn't work anymore, and no solution provided by the community has been able to remedy it.
-No combination of button holding for any amount of time will trigger a power on.
-Mobile device cannot find the tracker on my home wifi network, so it is not a matter of just a defunct display.
- I have always used the included charger an no 3rd party ones. I do not want to invest in a 3rd party charger to fix something that should be addressed by the original manufacturer.
-It has been plugged in for 4 hours now which has always been enough for a 20% to 100% charge and still no go.
As I said in my opening, I invested in fitbit as I was be reimbursed by my company for choosing fitbit over other trackers, but as I have brought this up with my colleagues who are all but two of them wearing other fitness trackers now anyway, all of their fitbit products have died around or before the 1 year mark as well. I feel I got more than I paid for, but again-- I was reimbursed for the full price. I would be very disappointed if I was just out $300 after just 1 year of use.
So thank you fitbit community! It was a very fun ride and I really enjoyed reviewing my analytics after a workout and tracking my sleep over months. If there are any other solutions, I'm open to hearing them. Honestly I'm just looking to get it working so I can sell it to invest in an Apple watch as I should have done to begin with.

@MarieaU Basically your Ionic is black and doesn't respond to anything? Usually that means only one thing: it died inside 😞 That's really sad to hear as I think a device at that price point should by all means be without fault for at least two-three years with normal use. And normally it is, but then there is the odd one that doesn't survive as long... **ahem** happens.

I've have had my iconic for almost 1 year as well and last night it just went dark as I was out for a walk and monitoring my heart rate on the app.
I've spent all day trying to resuscitate, but alas it looks likes it's a goner too. I'm not an Apple fan but at least their products work.
Shame on fitbit for making this expensive piece of junk. I will not buy another fitbit after this experience.

Same thing happened to me . The warranty is one year, so if you've had your Ionic less than a year call support, they may replace it. Another thing to try is leaving your Ionic unplugged. After a few days, the battery will run down and it may revive with a low power alert. It's worth a try before tossing it .
