After firmware update, Ionic doesn't turn on

So I updated to the lastest firmware update and all was well.  This morning I was not getting alerts so I synced the watch, still no alerts, powered it off - and now I can not get it to turn back on. This has never happened before.  I am at work so I do not have my charger with me.  Any suggestions??

@HollywoodRC Welcome back to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

Since your Ionic isn't turning on, I would advise you to wait until you get home and restart it. After this, please make sure you've fully charge it

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

I am having a similar issue.  After updating my Ionic this week, it won't turn on again and the battery drains much much faster than before.

After I turn off the Ionic, to turn it back on again, the left button doesn't work like it used to.  Instead, I have to long press all three buttons.  Then it finally turns on at 40% battery after turning it off the night before with 80% battery.

Why is it doing this?

I should note that alerts are working fine - its turning it on and off and battery draining that are the issues.

I am having the same issues.  Powering on - and the battery draining!  For the Power On, I have to do a 3 button push to get it to turn on, then have to sync it to get it to change to the next (today).  The battery drain is big!  Noticed that alot as well.  It charges, gets notifications - no other issues than unable to just press the left button to turn it on  after I have shut it down at night (like I have since I bought it) and the battery drain.

@SilviaFitbit can you please see my other message in this post and reply to it?

I continue to have the same issue... After shutting down my ioinc, at 100% battery, I can only turn it on by long pressing all three buttons... And then battery is around 50%.

Left button doesn't turn Fitbit ionic back on after turning off only to exercise programs when on this is after new firmware download.

Same issue here,

Watch worked fine before firmware update, but experiencing poor battery life and 2 button press required to turn on.

FitBit should be ashamed. A problem was introduced into the Ionic by their Firmware Update!

A upstanding company would admit their error, acknowledge that a problem has been created, and be working tirelessly to correct the issue.

As of right now, I do not see this happening.

NO Accountability!

I am having the same exact problems.  Takes extra long to power down, takes long-pressing multiple buttons to power it back on and when it is back it's showing the time/date from the power down until it syncs and the battery has lost 25-40% WHILE OFF.  What happened to SylviaFitbit who claimed a over month ago they were around for additional questions?  Here are my questions - How did this update get out the door and why isn't Fitbit doing something to fix it?  As someone who has worked as a developer for 20+ years, this behavior really gets me angry.  Not just the flaws in the update, I know sometimes things get released in a less-than-perfect state, but these problems are blatant and should have been caught in testing.  Just as bad is the deaf ear Fitbit has chosen to show.  Over a month after these major problems were reported and they are still letting this flawed update get applied?  Unacceptable!

My ionic has worked dang near perfect for me the last year and a half. After the update a few weeks ago it bricked it. They said sorry no warranty goodbye. I chatted again and then they gave me a 35% off coupon, I replied to their email again with anger, upset, irritated ect and they said ok we will send you a referb ionic or a 50% off any of the older models nothing new. Lmao this company is a joke.
