Viewing my calendar entries from my phone's calendar app is quite important to me.
I expect a smartwatch to have this standard integrated!! But to my surprise the Fitbit Ionic does NOT have this???
I mean Fitbit acquired Pebble, and my old Pebble Time (still runs fine!!) has this completely integrated. Simply grabs the appointments from my phone’s calendar app without any problem!! Never fails!!!
Referring back to some third party app (for which you need to pay!!! – after having paid almost $300 for the watch???) does NOT work. I do not want any third party to have access to my calendar account – furthermore, I need to combine two calendars and my employer does not allow this third party to have access to my work calendar (very understandable).
I’m on the verge to return the Ionic – I really love the design and the fitness apps are more than I need, but this simple agenda app is so very annoying!!
Another thing my old Pebble did very well is to control the music on my phone. When I’m on my bike, I want to be able to control the music on my phone using my watch. But now Fitbit is forcing me to download my music on the watch and buy a wireless headphone… why, when the Pebble Time had all of this already completely integrated and works perfect???
So again, two simple apps that Pebble (the company you acquired) had running for ages without any issue, are NOT standard on such a high end smart watch…??
Any comments? Am I missing something here?

Regarding the agenda you are right, there is nothing native available from Fitbit.
But it is definitely possible, natively, to control the music on your phone from your Fitbit Ionic.

thanks for the tip - yes, I saw the music-control one.
Seems to work, but ONLY volume. No other controls and no indication on the screen of my Ionic that I can adjust the volume... Also no indication what song is currently playing.
And after 2 minutes the paired connection is automatically dropped again - very clumsy for such high end watch??
On the Agenda: no plans to include such an App in the Operating System??

I don't know, but I would suggest heading over to the Feature Suggestions board and suggest adding a Calendar app.

@SunsetRunner What smatphone do you use? On my Pixel 2 XL I can play, pause, skip and I see the name of the song.
