All you did was allow the user to turn the volume down. We need it up. My Bose Comfort 35 volume can go up NO issues. The MAX level is still too Low. Come on fix this stuff and dont say it is a Apple thing. Its your device and your volume control I work at a IT help desk and know the so called comments. We are all ready getting no Spotify lets get this right Thanks

@lcabs Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting this! Please try the following steps that have been useful for other users:
Once you have done this try the volume option again.
Let me know how it goes!

Hello Yeah that all the steps and still did not work. Volume is still very soft. When you’re in a loud gym you want to drown out the noise the level as is, is no good.
Please test and fix
Thanks

@lcabs Thanks for your reply and for trying the workaround. Fitbit is aware of this and working towards a resolution.
I went ahead and created a case with customer support so they can file this to get it fixed faster. Thanks for reporting it! Keep an eye on your inbox.

Have you tried connecting the earbuds to your phone instead of your watch? I did that with mine last night to test them and it worked just fine.

Doesn’t that defeat the point of the ionic. I can do that and use my blaze and save £300.

I'm having the same issue. I restarted my Ionic, unpaired and repaired my AirPods, and the volume is still too low.

As others have noticed, when I link my Apple AirPods to my Ionic, the volume is very low, even when turned up to max volume. Makes it difficult to hear the music when walking on even a semi-busy street.
Does anyone have experience with any other bluetooth earbuds working well with the Ionic or Versa? If there are other earbuds that are working, I may consider selling my AirPods and getting something else.
Also, do you think this volume issue is something that FitBit can or will fix in future updates? Thanks!

I'm really unhappy with this since it's a basic function of bluetooth devices. Fix it fast Fitbit before I change my mind and get an Apple Watch...

Here we are, nearly five months later and this issue still hasnt been resolved. Fitbit is moving too slowly to fix important bugs. Any updates, @SantiR?

I am really disappointed with this issue. Volume control is considered a minimal viable product feature for the majority of users. I specifically bought the Fitbit so I can travel without my phone and listen to music and you can't do that effectively without volume control.
Is there a timeline to resolve this?

I have used three other sets of headphones and they all work perfectly, it’s just the Apple AirPods that are the problem.
Now using aftershokz bone conduction headphones and they are the best and most comfortable pair I have used.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for your reply and for providing that information. I'm glad to hear that your Aftershokz headphones are working properly with Ionic. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying this great feature.
Thanks for the feedback regarding the Apple AirPods. Will check that further and let you know if I have any updates about it anytime soon.
Also, take a look at the Discussions Board as you will find a lot of interesting things there. Feel free to post on any thread you want. If you are looking for Fitbit friends to compete with on challenges, check this thread to add some!

Is there any other lab to resolve this issue whereby max volume on Apple air pods is very low. Buying another set of Bluetooth headphones that solve this isn’t a great suggestion. I’d rather Fitbit resolves the problem before we all move to alternative fitness watches. Any chance?

@MoTheDog Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for reporting that you are also experiencing this situation with Ionic and Apple Airpods.
I will definitely let you know once I get any updates about this. Please stay tuned to this thread.
In the meanwhile, please check the Feature Suggestions Board. This is the best place to ask for new apps you would like to have. Fitbit developers and third-party developers often check this board so this is the best place to do this. The more votes an idea can get, the better.

I have wireless power beats and have the same issue. I am returning the Fit bit today and will find something else to spend my 300 bucks on. It is ashamed that a company as big as fit bit cant resolve a minor issue like this and try to blame on the headphones. Volume works but only pushes to half of what the headphones can do. I hook them to my iphone and they are more than loud enough. You have lost a customer for life over this. THX for nothing.

Just picked up my Ionic today, upgrade from a surge that I’ve had since they first came out but the screen faded out over the last few days so needed an upgrade. Wife told me I should get an Apple Watch but resisted because I feel an affinity with Fitbit.
Just connected my Airpods and downloaded some music onto the Ionic - and I too am having the volume problem. It’s nowhere loud enough for the treadmill - all I’ll hear is my own feet. Why the hell is something so basic not been sorted out after all this time? This really is basic stuff. And PLEASE don’t recommend that I use my iPhone instead for music. The whole point of me getting another higher priced fitness band is GPS and. It having to take my phone with me.
Fitbit, what is the ETA on when this issue is going to get fixed? There’s clearly a lot of us waiting to find out.
thanks
