The fitbit ionic is able to connect to the apple airpods via Bluetooth, but it can not support the volume adjustment. This is the only reason I purchased the ionic, was to not have to take my phone, but still be able to have music and track my progress with my running apps. Not being able to adjust the volume makes it impossible to use the airpods as it is blasting in my ear way too loud. I have contacted Fitbit support and they are working with Apple to try and accommodate the issue. Hopefully soon, it will be rectified.

Not being an apple fan. I noticed comments on this first appeared shortly after the release of the Ionic

They've been "working" on it for a year now. SMH

Hi - back in 2018 this issue was reported and Fitbit.said they were working on it. I bought my Ionic last week and got my Airpods a few days later...and the volume control does not work. I wonder how long Fitbit need to resolve with Apple?
