All-Day Sync Always Connected?

Anyone know specifically what these each do and how they differ and which ones should be left on or off?  Do these need to be on to ensure notifications?  The descriptions are vague.   Thanks.

According to the user manual, all day sync will sync data from your tracker to your phone every 15 minutes. Always connected maintains a Bluetooth connection with your phone, this is mainly used if your are experiencing sync issues or missed notifications

Personally I leave all day sync on, but have turned off always connected. I found it drained my phones battery quicker. Turning always connected off hasn't caused any problems for me with notifications, I still receive them instantly.

Do you leave your Bluetooth on all the time or you don't have to?

Thank you.  My preference is to leave them both off.

I leave my Bluetooth on permanently. If you use all day sync you would need to leave Bluetooth on otherwise the Ionic won't be able to sync. I don't really notice any difference in phone battery life with Bluetooth disabled, so I imagine it uses very little resources.
