Good day all. I have had my Ionic coming up to two weeks now. I was pleased to fathom out how to put music onto the 'Ionic' One thing I find tedious though, is that after a session with the bluetooth paired h/phones to Ionic, when attempting to synchronize again with the android/bluetooth I get the message 'Restart your 'phone to enable Fitbit notifications' This is all a bit of a 'palaver' I understood that there would be a clash if both 'phone and headphones were using bluetooth simultaneously. To avoid this I disconnected the bluetooth on my 'phone before connecting the Ionic to my headphones. I then enjoyed a test session of the music which worked fine. However, when turning off the bluetooth on my h/phones and resuming bluetooth on my android I repeatedly see the message again to restart 'phone to get notifications. I have had to restart the 'phone on a number of occasions to get normal resume of service. Is there a procedure that will stop this cycle of off/on ? I will try switching off/on of the 'Ionic' to see if that aids the 'phones blutooth connection without having to do all these restarts.
I would also ask, is there a technical reason why music cannot be tranferred from the computer to Ionic via a bluetooth dongle,? this would be far simpler/easier than messing with the wi/fi router connection.

Update: I am persitently getting the red Notification service not running message, even after many 'phone restarts on my android 'phone. However, when I send the test call notification I do get a slow responce to my Ionic. Does this mean I will get notifications in spite of the red message. I have followed some of the advice given to no avail. Everything was working fine up to the time I got the music app working. I have since unpaired my headphones and notifications are still not working. I am not very happy about this hit & miss situation, it is very time consuming. Quite frankly these bugs should not exist and ought to be ironed out. I have the 'always connected' & 'Keep-alive widget' activated. Can any in the know moderator please advise??
UPDATE: 7th June'18 Problem solved. I have a second identicle android, I logged in to 'Fitbit' and found everything worked fine, notifications etc. This eliminated the Ionic from being the problem. I logged in on my regular 'phone and nothing I did rectified the problem. I decided to uninstall the 'Fitbit' application and reinstall. Setting up notifications afresh worked perfectly and currently remains so. This points to some sort of 'bug' attached/related to the music app which corrupts the 'Fitbit' software on the 'phone. I hope my post detail and solution will be informative. I would like to mention that my Ionic and two other family members are running firmware version 27.32.10.15 - this appears to be a few version behind from the latest roll-out. Will we see some notification on the 'phone app when we are eligible please. Thankyou
