Any Battery Life issues with Samsung S8 (Like blaze has)

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have not bought the ionic as of yet. I am current owner of a blaze and Samsung S8.  Which has known battery issues.  Is there  anyone experiencing similar issues with the ionic, that has an S8?

I personally don't have the s8. But I do have an lg v20. I don't have "always connected" on or notifications on. I walk around 14000 steps a day and honestly my battery life on my ionic is only around 1.5 days maybe. I find myself putting it on the charger everyday. Just wanting to throw that out there. I'd hate to see the actual battery life for using music/gps

Something is very wrong with your ionic then.  I would exchange it.  Mine lasted 6 days on the first charge.

I decided to give it a shot as I hoped being a newer product it wouldn't have the issues and so far its been fine thankfully.

I have a Blaze and S8 as well. Could never get it to work.  I can report that with the Ionic, I am having none of the issues I had with the Blaze. The battery life goes on for days and I’m amazed with how long it lasts.  Connection was unstable at first but I followed the connection checklist that the Fitbit moderators posted on the forums here and have no more issues.

I just bought a Blaze and it just refuses to work with my s8+. Does your Ionic work perfectly with your s8? Notifications and all? Was it a simple and quick process? (As it's supposed to be)

From my experience, I have had zero issues getting notifications to work on with the S8 (Verizon Wireless) and Ionic from the very beginning. Maybe I'm lucky? And I mean, I have everything set to send notifications to the watch; calls, email, texts, and many app notifications. Setting it up was as simple as stated.

I have occasional sync issues where I have to reset bluetooth (or restart the watch, or both), but usually it clears up after a few tries (can be annoying, but it's survivable).

Thanks! I'll keep this in mind. Now since both the Ionic and the Gear Sport are the same price, I'll have to look into it. I can only assume the Gear will work better as they're the same brand. Also, I preferred the design of the blaze over the Ionic.

The Gear Sport is 100% better than the Blaze when connected to the S8.  4 days or more of battery life and all notifications work. My Blaze last 1.5 days at best and no notification work.  Fit bit said Samsung would have to correct the issue.  Why would they when the offer almost the same product? If the Ionic works with the S8 why can't they fit the Blaze?
