Any update for unresponsive Ionics?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

In late April, just a week over the year guarantee expired, Fitbit firmware update bricked my ionic. Of course it had full battery, it was plugged and I afterwards followed all the possible hard reset options with no success whatsoever. I contacted customer support and, of course, they said nothing could be done. I wonder if after the massive "coincidence" of a great number of ionic users experiencing the same they didn't figured out how to solve that issue.

I don't know how Fitbit can simply disregard the damage that they've made to so many users. It's not a regular out of warranty problem, but something that the company have produced with a broken firmware.

  Any news/solutions/workarounds?

The same thing happened with me too. Customer service team very sweetly passed the buck by stating the watch was out of warranty when, infact, it's the software update that affected my Ionic. It's a shame that Fitbit doesn't own up to the software glitch affecting thousands of users worldwide. It's not a cheap watch by any means. Last time this happened with my Blaze. The customer care is good for nothing!
