Anybody else having problems synching to Strava with their Ionic?

For whatever reason, and for the first time, when it usually automatically synchs with my Strava account, tonight it has failed to do so. When  I try to export a TCX file as an alternative this also responds with a fault.  Any ideas please?

When working correctly, I have also seen Strava pull rather old activities from Fitbit onto their service.  Can't hate on that!

@AndrewPf Fitbit both pulls from Strava, and pushes to Strava. I'm mystified why Fitbit can't get this working reliably, and why Fitbit ignores the Strava calorie data and uses a broken Fitbit calorie estimator.

I track all my rides with a GPS bike computer, and was hoping Fitbit's Strava sync would be reliable. What does work reliably: Garmin Connect pushes ride to Endomondo, and Endomondo pushes to Fitbit. I'm going to give this another week, and if its still not working reliably will go back to using Endomondo's sync.

My run from last night still isn't showing on my Strava account.  Am I missing something I have to do?  I linked the two accounts weeks before but only my old stuff shows up on Strava.

Not sure I’m really qualified to answer this, but have you tried unlinking the accounts and then reconnecting the Strava/Fitbit pairing?

11 hours later and we're good to go. But it was a really rough 11 hours.

I use a Garmin Edge bike computer. What happens if I wear my Fitbit Ionic and have my Garmin on my bike? Will I get two Strava rides and two Fitbit activities?

you have several options, and tradeoffs. The simplest is to keep Fitbit activities on Fitbit (don't use Fitbit's Strava sync). Just let Garmin automatically push rides to Strava. No duplicate activities, and if you are lucky there will be good agreement between the Strava/Garmin ride and the Fitbit ride.  If you aren't so lucky, then there are a couple other options. (p.s. I haven't been lucky with Fitbit and cycling, and more importantly Fitbit doesn't record power data or cadence or outside temp)

Fitbit pulled Thursday bike ride from Strava, eventually:

- ride finished just before 5pm

- still not in Fitbit at 11pm

- ride in Fitbit dashboard this morning at 6am

Prior to the ride I revoked access on both Fitbit and Strava, and then setup sync again.

Fitbit still hasn't pulled in my Wednesday bike ride.
