Apple Mail app not showing up in Ionic notifications

Basically the title says it all. 

When I go into my Fitbit app and click notifications, the Apple "mail" app is not listed at all.

 

My notifications are turned on for mail. My blue tooth is set to sync between the ionic and my phone. I get call and text notifications. Just can't get mail to show upz

@Glawned Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried. 

I would like you to confirm you're doing this procedure to set up notifications on your Ionic. If your email is synced to the Apple email, when you select email notifications, you should receive them.

If you don't receive notifications after doing the above, provide me with a screenshot of what you're seeing when you set up email notifications.
